About the Artist

My name is Tanakan Bangnoi. I’m an illustrator from Bangkok, Thailand, currently based in Ohio and Kentucky, USA.

With professional experience in both print media and the music industry, I have created illustrations and lyric videos for several Thai artists, as well as for international collaborations. These opportunities have allowed me to experiment with diverse storytelling formats and strengthen my creative versatility.

My illustrations are deeply inspired by vocabulary picture books — works that invite viewers to pause and discover every hidden detail on the page. I find joy in visual exploration, and this passion has shaped my style into one rich with intricate details, blending everyday reality with a quiet sense of fantasy.

In each piece, I draw inspiration from ordinary, relatable moments of daily life — but reimagine them through a whimsical lens. By weaving in surreal or fantastical elements, I aim to transform the familiar into scenes that feel playful, thought-provoking, and sometimes tinged with dark humor.
